Veronica’s full profile
Ms Veronica Joseph obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore in 1998 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in June 1999.
Veronica began her law career in Drew & Napier in 1999, where she remained for 20 years in active practice, until January 2019. She spent the next two years, until April 2021, with PY Legal LLC, a Christian-based firm.
Veronica specialises in Family Law and has during her career been involved in complex family law matters, many of which involved international aspects. She has particular expertise in matters concerning children, ranging from custody, care and control issues, to relocation and parental alienation.
Veronica also handles financial disputes of high net-worth individuals following a marriage breakdown. Her experience in this area includes drafting settlement deeds in cases where parties can reach an amicable agreement as well as obtaining court rulings in situations where matters are heavily contested.
Although Veronica is a strong advocate for divorces to proceed along the Simplified Track, when faced with unreasonable opposition, Veronica is prepared to use her considerable experience in highly contested litigation, to assist the client to achieve a just outcome.
Veronica is blessed to be married to her best friend, a boy she met when she was 16 years old and they have two precocious children. Although a cradle Catholic, Veronica’s discovery between 2014 to 2016 that Jesus is truly alive, shook her whole world. Her legal practice is now Christ-centred, and her life revolves between church, family and work. Ironically, although a “divorce lawyer”, Veronica believes that love is the only way…love can change the world.
